Week ahead: US CPI, Fedspeak in the spotlight

(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus over the following week would be on US consumer prices and the country's central bank, the Federal Reserve. Data on the former covering the month of October were due out on Wednesday.

A barrage of Fed officials were also scheduled to take to the podium over the course of the week, including Fed boss Jerome Powell on Thursday.

Financial markets would also be keeping close tabs on the latest industrial production and retail sales numbers due out in the States, come Friday.

In China, CPI and producer price data for October would be published over the coming weekend, followed by monthly activity data on Friday.

On home shores, employment data for September would be forthcoming on Tuesday and a preliminary reading on third quarter GDP also at the end of the week.

German and French CPI releases were due on Tuesday and Friday.
