Director dealings: Canal+ directors invest, Ascent CEO's company sells out

(Sharecast News) - Two significant director share transactions disclosed to the London market on Tuesday involved Canal+ and Ascent Resources. French broadcaster Canal+ reported two acquisitions of company shares by individuals linked to its management board.

Maxime Saada, the chairman of the board and chief executive officer, acquired 77,000 shares on 19 December, at a weighted average price of 208.5p per share, totaling £160,563.

Additionally, Charles Billard, a person closely associated with Amandine Ferré, another member of the management board, purchased 25,100 shares on 20 December at an average price of 200p per share, amounting to £50,194.60.

Both transactions took place on the London Stock Exchange.

The company also corrected a previous announcement regarding Vivendi's sale of shares, clarifying the currency used in the transaction.

On the selling side of the ledger, Ascent Resources disclosed share dealings involving its chief executive Andrew Dennan.

On 20 December, C4 Energy, in which Dennan holds a 25% beneficial interest, sold 2,173,913 shares at 2.2023p each, generating proceeds of £47,876.08.

Following the disposal, C4 Energy no longer held any shares in Ascent.

Subsequently, on 23 December, Dennan personally acquired 550,000 shares at a price of 1.9p apiece, increasing his direct holding to 2,690,000 shares, representing 0.98% of the company's issued share capital.

At 1215 GMT, shares in Canal+ were down 1.96~% at 192.5p, while those in Ascent Resources were up 12.59% at 2.03p.
